Belgian star Moussa Dembele has fueled speculation that he might leave Fulham in favour of a move to Spanish champions Real Madrid.
Manchester United, Arsenal and Tottenham have all been linked with offers for the 25-year-old, who impressed for the Cottagers last term after shifting from his usual role as a second striker to central midfield. The Belgium international moved to Craven Cottage for £5 million from Dutch side AZ Alkmaar in 2010 and, with only one year remaining on his contract, could leave for nothing come the end of the 2012/13 season.
Dembele's agent, Jan de Visser, has previously revealed he had contact from Madrid, with the attacking midfielder having now confirmed the La Liga outfit have inquired after his services.
"My manager has already talked with Real," he told Het Nieuwsblad.
"There have been contacts between my agent and Real Madrid. They have wanted information and that was it.
"I cannot say much else about it - everything is calm, but I cannot say where I will be playing."
Dembele has also hinted at his preferred position, in midfield, which could possibly make him Real's fall-back signing should their pursuit of Tottenham playmaker Luka Modric fail.
"I feel more of a midfielder than striker. It is even my favourite position," he added.
